New Jersey Divorce & Litigation Attorney
Rajeh A. Saadeh is the founder and principal of The Law Office of Rajeh A. Saadeh, L.L.C., a litigation law firm based in Bridgewater, New Jersey. He is a divorce and family law attorney with deep experience in complex matrimonial matters, and a litigator whose practice extends across real estate, foreclosure defense, criminal defense, appeals, and civil litigation throughout New Jersey.
Rajeh is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and New York and is authorized to appear before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He represents clients primarily in Somerset, Middlesex, Hunterdon, Morris, and Monmouth Counties, and has appeared in courts across New Jersey.
What distinguishes Rajeh's representation is the combination of institutional knowledge — earned through a judicial clerkship in the Family Part and service on the New Jersey Supreme Court Family Practice Committee — and a litigation-grounded approach that his adversaries know and from which his clients benefit. He and his team litigate. That posture shapes every negotiation, motion, and strategy from the first consultation forward.
Divorce & Family Law in New Jersey
Rajeh devotes a substantial portion of his practice to matrimonial and family law. He has handled divorce matters across the full spectrum — from straightforward uncontested cases to high-conflict, high-asset litigation involving complex financial structures, business interests, and custody disputes.
His divorce and family law practice includes:
- Contested and uncontested divorce
- Equitable distribution of marital assets and debts
- High net worth and complex asset divorce
- Valuation of businesses and professional practices
- Deferred compensation, executive benefits, and stock options
- Alimony and spousal support
- Palimony
- Child custody and parenting time — including high-conflict custody
- Child support
- Prenuptial, mid-marriage, and divorce settlement agreements
- Domestic violence litigation and restraining orders
- Parent relocation matters
- Paternity
- Dissolution of civil unions and domestic partnerships
- Post-judgment modification, enforcement, and appeals
- Arbitration and mediation
Prior to founding the firm, Rajeh served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Hany A. Mawla — now a judge of the New Jersey Appellate Division and formerly the presiding judge of the Family Part in Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren Counties. The clerkship gave Rajeh direct exposure to how family law litigation is assessed from the bench, which informs his case strategy, motion practice, and settlement posture on every matter he handles.
Rajeh served on the New Jersey Supreme Court Family Practice Committee and as a Family Part Early Settlement Panelist — positions that reflect formal recognition of his expertise within the state's family law system.
His reported appellate decision in family law: M.A.P. v. E.B.A., 471 N.J. Super. 250, 272 A.3d 921 (Super. Ct. App. Div. 2022).
A Diverse Litigation Background
Beyond family law, Rajeh brings a broad litigation background that enables him to handle the full range of legal issues that arise in a client's life — including matters tangential to a family law or real estate case, as well as stand-alone matters.
Real Estate Law & Foreclosure Defense
Rajeh represents clients in commercial and residential real estate transactions, providing due diligence and legal intervention when disputes arise. His real estate experience includes breach of contract litigation, title disputes, condemnation proceedings, and transactional representation from contract and attorney review through closing. He has successfully defended foreclosure actions in New Jersey courts and assists homeowners in negotiating loan modifications, short sales, and forbearance arrangements.
Criminal Defense
Rajeh handles criminal defense matters in municipal and Superior Courts throughout New Jersey, including DUI/DWI, traffic matters, disorderly persons offenses, and indictable criminal charges. While at Penn Law School, he completed criminal law internships with both the New Jersey Office of Public Defender and the Major Trials Unit of the Philadelphia Office of the District Attorney — giving him perspective from both sides of criminal proceedings.
Criminal Defense
Appeals
Rajeh handles civil and criminal appeals before the New Jersey Appellate Division and Supreme Court, as well as appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. His appellate practice includes interlocutory applications and post-conviction matters.
